Over-the-Rhine Community Housing is asking for your support as we continue to provide safe and affordable housing for hundreds of residents in Over-the-Rhine. During this crisis, we are not charging any late fees for missed rents or filing any evictions. We understand that many of our residents are undergoing increased financial burdens because of the crisis, so we hope knowing their housing is safe is alleviating at least one possible stress in their lives. OTRCH stands by our mission of an inclusive community that benefit low-income residents. We know we must continue to provide quality stable housing for all in a socially, racially and economically inclusive community because housing is a right and should be available to all, all people deserve dignified housing, and housing must include the most vulnerable members of our community, even during this pandemic.

Please consider helping us continue our mission and support your neighbors through our #GivingTuesdayNow Rental Assistance Campaign. Already in April, we have fallen over $20,000 short of our budgeted revenue. We know that this decline in revenue will continue as we socially distance ourselves and continue focusing on the health and safety of everyone. We hope that this global day of giving helps cover as much of this revenue shortfall as our supporters are able to contribute. Every donation, no matter the amount, is extremely helpful and important for our continued efforts!

The CARES Act allows for a universal, non-itemized charitable deduction of up to $300 for all taxpayers and raises the cap on annual contributions to 100% of AGI for those who itemize deductions.

#GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving and unity taking place on May 5, 2020 – in addition to the regularly scheduled Dec 1, 2020 #GivingTuesday – as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.
