Buddy’s Place is a 20-unit permanent supportive housing development located at 1300 Vine Street in Over-the-Rhine. Opened in 1999, the building provides stable, furnished housing for individuals who have experienced homelessness, with all utilities included to reduce barriers to long-term stability.

Owned, managed, and serviced by Over-the-Rhine Community Housing, Buddy’s Place combines affordable housing with on-site case management to support residents as they work toward greater independence and wellbeing. The building includes amenities designed to meet every day needs, including a secured entrance, elevator access, on-site laundry, and off-street parking.

The project is named in honor of Buddy Gray, an advocate for individuals experiencing homelessness and founder of Cincinnati’s Drop Inn Center. His legacy continues to shape the spirit of the building, reflecting a deep commitment to dignity, access, and community care.

Over more than two decades, Buddy’s Place has supported many residents in achieving stability and rebuilding their lives. Today, it remains an important part of Over-the-Rhine Community Housing’s long-term commitment to providing supportive, affordable housing in the neighborhood.
