Elm Street Senior Housing, located at 1500 Elm Street, is Over-the-Rhine’s first housing development specifically designed for low-income seniors. Completed in 2014, the project involved the renovation of two historic Christian Moerlein buildings, preserving the neighborhood’s character while creating safe, stable housing for older adults. Developed in partnership with The Model Group, the building includes 15 one-bedroom apartments, two of which are fully accessible. The development features on-site amenities designed to support aging in place, including a community room, laundry facilities, a resident services office, secure entry, an elevator, and an exterior courtyard. A live-in building manager provides additional support and oversight, contributing to a stable and connected living environment for residents.
